Thank you!

Sunday, October 23, was Pastor Appreciation Day. I want to thank everyone for your cards and words of
encouragement, and your generosity! Angie and I have been here at Church on the Bluff for over 16
years and I’m always amazed at the love and care you show for us. God blessed us by leading us here
and allowing us to minister to you all. It has been such a wonderful and exciting time for us; I praise the
Lord for His loving and providential care that brought us here.
Your attitude, willingness, and encouragement make me look forward to what lies ahead. The “Covid-19
Era” was unique and brought with it many challenges for our church, indeed all churches. But you
struggled, worked, and never gave up. That is paying off in a big way for us. The joy and excitement is
evident as we are firing up our activities and ministries. You don’t know how much that encourages and
inspires me.
I wish I could say that I’ll be here for the next 16 years, but at the rate my body and mind is
deteriorating, I’d be a doddering, old fool by then. (I know some of you are thinking, “so how would that
be any different from now?”). But whatever lies ahead, whether it is five years or 16 years, I look
forward to it and I know that the Lord is going to undergird us, strengthen us, and grant us success as we
serve Him faithfully here at Church on the Bluff!
Say good things about your Savior and about His church here on the bluff!
