Creation/Evolution

Defining written history as telling or retelling actual events from the past, it’s interesting to note that
written history is approximately 5,000 years old. That is, we have only about 5,000 years of humans
telling of things that they know happened. I use the word “only” because evolutionists believe the
universes is about 14 billion years old. Recently a study suggested that it was much older.
The first bone that turned out to be a dinosaur bone was discovered in the mid 1600’s. The word
dinosaur was coined in 1841. Scientists say that the dinosaur possibly went extinct 16 million years ago
when a large meteor evidently crashed into the Yucatán Peninsula. It supposedly killed everything but
small rodents and some birds…who then evolved into what we have as life forms today. There are still
very large gaps in the theory of evolution that call for words like, ‘possibly”, ‘evidently”, “could have”,
“probably”, and others that allow these broad spans of time to be tied together to fit the narrative of
evolution.
I prefer this explanation: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). That
accounts for human bodies being perfect in design and functional from their first appearance. There is
no evidence, fossil or otherwise, that not incompletely formed humans ever existed. Nowhere in those
five years of written history does anything “evolve” into some new and different life form.in fact, in
those 5,000 years some life forms have gone extinct…they didn’t adapt and evolve.
There are only two possibilities: God and creation or evolution…something (we don’t know what) ex-
plodes (we don’t know why) and life began (we don’t know how). Some will fear the repercussions of a
Creator so much that they will cling desperately to any theory that says there is no God.
Say good things about your Savior and His church.
