Church on the Bluff Deacons – 2026
Larry Brymer – Larry Brymer lives in the Green Valley neighborhood of Hoover. He and his wife, Vickie, have two sons and four grandchildren.
Keith Burgess, chairman –Keith Burgess is the third of four sons, born in Powderly and educated at Midfield. He served in the Marine Reserves from 1975-1978, worked for U.S. Steel from 1973 until he started in coal mines in 1976, where he spent 40 years. He and his wife, Robin, married in 1985 and have one son, Robert, born in 1988. They have lived in Hoover since 1990 and have been at Church on the Bluff since 1993.
Gene Burke – Gene Burke was born in Mobile and grew up in Birmingham. He spent four years in the U.S. Navy and retired from Alabama Power after 35 years. He and his wife, Rita, have four children, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Chris Lee – Chris Lee lives in the Bluff Park neighborhood in Hoover. He and his wife, Libby, have two sons. They have been members at Church on the Bluff since 2003.
Craig Ramsey – Craig and his wife, Amie, have enjoyed watching their two sons and daughter grow in the Hoover community. They are very grateful to have found a welcoming and loving family at The Church on the Bluff. Sunday Bible study and worship are a highlight of every week, and Craig is very honored to serve his church family. Craig is currently employed as an IT manager and enjoys volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America. In his free time, you will find him woodworking, restoring his vintage truck, or building video games.
Russ Wilson – Russ Wilson moved to Bluff Park with his family in 1965 and joined Church on the Bluff in 1971. He says it has “been a real blessing to be a part of this Church with such a loving, caring, serving fellowship!”
