Why are we changing our name to Church On the Bluff?

Although we were founded as Summit Baptist Church in 1898, we have been Bluff Park Baptist Church for a very long time. Why change now? Short answer, to be able to minister to a larger group of people. We want to minister to those who seek a Southern Baptist church as well as those who are simply seeking a body of believers with whom to worship and serve.  We are hopeful that a name change can help us accomplish that goal.

 

We are, and always will be, proudly Southern Baptist in doctrine. Our preaching and teaching will not change.

Hopefully, though, we can touch the lives of more people with the Gospel by simply inviting them to Church…on the bluff.
