Celebrating 120 years

Church on the Bluff has been a neighborhood of unique and diversified people since the first families settled here in the mid 1800s. We are blessed to have been woven into the fabric of Bluff Park for 120 of those years. Our goal has been to minister to the spiritual, physical, and family needs of our neighbors; first as Sumiton Baptist, then as Bluff Park Baptist, and now as Church On the Bluff. We will continue to connect with this wonderful community, striving to help each person find a full, meaningful relationship to God as we build a community like none other. We invite you to come worship and serve with us.
We have had a wonderful time celebrating so far this year with many special events. The final event of our 120th anniversary celebrations will be a special service on October 14th. The celebration will begin at 10:00 am with special music provided by former Ministers of Music Harold Newberry, Wayne Goodwin, and Steve Yarborough, along with congregational singing and historical highlights. Former pastor Richard Trader will be preaching. A covered dish lunch will follow.

We will not have “Bluff Perk” or Bible Study classes before the service.
